Big news from the water! 🌊 GWN Dragon Boat and Oddball Workshop are expanding their partnership for Major League Dragon Boat and the Oddball Mercer County Dragon Boat Festival. Oddball will continue as the official technical clothing partner for MLDB and will become title sponsor in Mercer—and together we’re launching a new grant program to help youth and collegiate paddlers get into the sport and onto the start line. Cool story showing the power of dragon boating. This is the South Philadelphia Youth Dragon Boat Team from @discoverypathways in 2025. GWN among many others were proud to support the team. Here are some cool stats: • 67 students trained with us, and 33 completed a full competitive season — all new to the sport • 4 students made Team USA and raced internationally in Germany • The team earned 4 Gold medals, 1 Silver, 2 Bronze, and 2 Youth Cups • 85% of our students are refugees or immigrants, and 100% are low-income • Over 2,600 pounds of healthy food were distributed to support students and families • Our team remained completely free — no cuts, no fees, no barriers to participation • Beyond racing, youth built leadership, confidence, friendships, and belonging #usdbf #gwndragonboat #dragonboat #paddling
