Mercer County
Dragon Boat Festival

September 19th, 2026

The Mercer County Dragon Boat Festival is a premier East Coast event that blends high-caliber racing with the stunning natural beauty of Mercer County Park in peak autumn. A magnet for competitive and recreational teams alike, this festival has hosted the ERDBA Regional Championships since 2017, further solidifying its reputation as one of the most anticipated races of the season.

Crews from across the New York and Philadelphia regions return year after year to take part in the action, creating a vibrant and festive Athletes’ Village filled with team tents, spirited camaraderie, and elaborate picnics nestled in the shady woodlands surrounding the festival grounds.

Known for its warm, welcoming atmosphere, the festival brings together the close-knit East Coast dragon boat community.

  • Sport Division teams can look forward to a full day of racing, with up to five races across 200m, 500m, and 2,000m distances.

  • Community Division teams enjoy a lively, supportive environment as they compete in three 500m races, ideal for newer paddlers or corporate teams.

On land, the festival features a Health and Wellness Village, where athletes and visitors can explore a variety of vendors promoting healthy, active lifestyles. Teams can unwind in designated areas throughout the Athletes’ Village or set up their own relaxing retreat under the trees.

The Mercer County Dragon Boat Festival also boasts a proud competitive legacy, having hosted the USDBF Club Crew National Championships in 2013 and 2017, making it a destination for top-tier racing and community celebration.
