Every summer, the GWN Sport Regatta delivers a high-octane day of dragon boat racing to the heart of downtown Toronto. Set against the scenic backdrop of Marilyn Bell Park, this mid-season showdown is a cornerstone of Ontario’s competitive paddling calendar—drawing elite sport crews and ambitious community teams from across the region for a full day of racing, rivalry, and team spirit.
Renowned for its focus on performance and precision, the GWN Sport Regatta offers a race environment designed for athletes looking to push their limits. With a variety of race distances and tightly run heats, it’s the ultimate test of crew coordination, stamina, and speed. Whether you’re a high-performance team with your eyes on the podium or an emerging squad aiming to level up, this regatta provides the perfect platform to measure progress and build momentum ahead of the championship season.
But the experience goes beyond the boat. Marilyn Bell Park offers panoramic views of Lake Ontario, a breezy boardwalk ideal for cooldowns, and direct access to Toronto’s extensive lakeside trail system. It’s the perfect setting for spectators and paddlers alike to enjoy a relaxed yet energetic race day atmosphere. Food trucks, music, and open green spaces add to the festival feel, while the city’s world-class dining, arts, and nightlife are just minutes away—making it easy to turn race day into a full Toronto weekend experience.
For teams looking for top-tier racing without the extra frills, the GWN Sport Regatta delivers pure competition in an unbeatable urban setting. Join us this season and discover why this regatta remains a must-race event for crews across the province—and beyond.
